Patricia Riess

Patricia Riess is a Licensed Dance Teacher, at the Dance School / Univer Cidade-Rio de Janeiro (2000), Post-graduate in Artherapy Education and Health( 2010/ UCAM)and she has been performing as a professional dancer since 1990. At this time, as a jazz dancer for Carlota Portela Dance Company- Vacilou Dançou(1990-1994). In 1998 she founded the Tanzhaus Dance Company (Rio de Janeiro) among others partners, having performed in Europe and Brazil.
Patricia has developed art-educational strategies ever since (Creative Dance for Kids), having worked at her own studio among other schools in Rio de Janeiro. Her professional dance experience in contemporary dance started with Esther Weitzman Dance Company (2001 and 2013), Ana Vitoria Contemporary Dance (2001/2005), Marcio Cunha Contemporary Dance (2013), and with Paula Maracajá (2009/2011), including assistant-direction for “Tudo que não invento é falso”(2011).
Patricia has had an important social project experience at the Maré Dance School, where she has worked both as a teacher and ,in 2006, as general coordinator.
